Going to check out A Hlaf Built Garden, it sounds interesting.
I adore KJ Charles, her romance dynamics are my kind of jam (usually because unlike most romance authors the conflict she builds between the main characters make sense and then people grow and grow to understand each other, so everything feels earned), it's my comfort re-listen when I suffer from insomnia, but if my children sneak up into bed next to me I have to skip all the sex scenes, my brain just can't handle sex and my offspring together, lol. Glad to know it's not only me.
