hahahaha, I hadn't even thought about the Nightingale thing, but of course!
It's so obvious that this is a result of BA trying desperately to not be pinned down on a timeframe for the books taking place, and then committing to one anyway, and then this retroactively not working, that I am happy to not think too hard about it.
